SO HOW DID WE GET HERE?

Starstruckgiftz was established in 2008 by Sarah Nicholls a full time Mum and carer to her severely disabled son.  As most Mum's will know trying to find a job that is suitable with raising young children is difficult at the best of times.  Let alone for those who have full time caring responsibilities for a child with special needs.

After scouring the internet regularly for gifts for family and friends because it was too difficult to get out of the house on school holidays or when her son was poorly Sarah realised it can be extremely difficult to find gifts that are slightly different.  Many of the very commercial websites offer mostly the same kind of gifts and gadgets and it became quite a hobby for her (a somewhat tiresome one!) to look out for gifts that were unique or one of a kind.

Realising that there were a lot more parents and carer's in her kind of situation Sarah decided to take the step to set up an online gift store that could offer something a little different to the bigger commercial stores dominating the web, whilst also being able to work from home and around her family circumstances.
